The Mass Save HEAT Loan program offers up to $25,000 from Massachusetts electrical/gas utilities and energy efficiency service providers. After you’ve scheduled your Home Energy Assessment we can get started on your loan application.

• Loan term payment is a flat 0% for 7 years.
• Starting April 1, term payments will be determined based on your State Median Income. 7yrs/5yrs/3yrs.

Here’s How it Works

• MillTown handles communications from start to finish. Get started by calling us today!
• A Mass Save representative will assess your energy efficiency improvement needs and determine what improvements are eligible for financing. After the HEA (Home Energy Assessment), Milltown will need the Heat Loan Intake Form to fill out all information for accuracy.
• The representative will provide a HEAT Loan Intake Form, Program Steps, and Minimum Standards and Requirements at the time of assessment
• As a Mass Save approved contractor, MillTown can obtain a proposal(s) for the energy-efficient improvements you want to finance
• Send the proposal(s) for review and approval to your Mass Save HEAT Loan representative along with your HEAT Loan Intake Form.
• If your improvements qualify, you will receive a Mass Save HEAT Loan Authorization Form.
• Bring this with you to your lender along with any other requirements for financing and finalizing your loan or any qualified credit union.
• Schedule MillTown to complete the work within 90 days
• Once complete, pay MillTown with the bank supplied check.
• After completion of the job, sign the check over to the contractor.
• Municipal inspection will take place afterwards.

Requirements

• $3,000/ton whole-home rebate (up to $10,000).
• 1-4 Family Residences: Mass Save works with all buildings.Certain rules apply when dealing with partial or whole home applicants.
• Customers in 5+ unit homes are eligible to receive the whole-home rebate, provided all requirements noted on the whole-home verification form can be met.
• Available to Massachusetts residents only
• Must schedule a no-cost Mass Save Home Energy Assessment (HEA)
• Financing and incentives are applied toward your total project cost
• You may also be eligible for no-cost products like LED light bulbs, advanced power strips, and more
• No interest loans are available for home energy efficiency improvements through the Mass Save HEAT Loan Program.
